The challenge

Triumph International faced the challenge of reducing the energy consumption and CO2 emissions in its largest European logistic center located in Obernai, France, while meeting the demands of a dynamic market:

Logistic requirements continuously changing due to new fashion trends, seasonal peaks, new product lines, and new customers
A complex infrastructure boasting over seven kilometers of conveyor lines and more than 12 million stock keeping units
A pressing need for a strategic approach to energy efficiency with high expectations for savings

The solution

Triumph chose a smart retrofit approach, opting to upgrade existing conveyors with Interroll's energy-efficient components. The Interroll RollerDrive EC5000, known for its zero-pressure accumulation, emerged as the ideal solution. While retaining existing profiles, critical components were modernized, ensuring operational efficiency.

Through the modernization of existing conveyor technology, Triumph achieved a remarkable reduction in energy consumption, nearing 50 percent. By focusing on critical component upgrades, maintenance and upgrade costs were minimized while ensuring modernization:
